POKOTABI / Daidokoro

At Daidokoro in Yoga, seasonal fish, hand-formed tsukune and clay-pot rice are among the dishes to enjoy with sake or wine over dinner.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
At Daidokoro in Yoga, seasonal dishes make it easy to shape an evening around a few plates, from sashimi to rice cooked in a clay pot. The menu centres on fresh fish and seasonal ingredients, with options for a full meal or a selection of small dishes to enjoy with drinks.
The sashimi platter has impressed diners with its freshness. Other reported orders include seasonal hand-formed tsukune and grilled conger eel, offering a mix of raw and grilled fish alongside meat. One diner particularly enjoyed the seri hand-formed tsukune, another example of the seasonal ingredients used in the dish.
Clay-pot rice makes a satisfying way to finish. Diners have ordered versions with salmon belly and ikura, or duck and Kujo spring onions. One person who tried the firefly squid and rapeseed-flower rice commented on its generous amount of toppings. With different combinations to choose from, the rice can round off a meal of small plates or provide a heartier finish.
Sake and wine are also options to pair with the dishes. One sake drinker appreciated being able to choose an ochoko, a small sake cup. Sashimi, grilled dishes and tsukune offer plenty to match with a preferred drink.
Dine-in meals are available, and the restaurant is described as suitable for solo dining. Dinner reservations are accepted, making Daidokoro an option for a relaxed evening planned around the food and drinks you have in mind.
